'I get an enormous buzz out of writing these stories. Knowing that other people get as much out of them gives me an even bigger buzz. The most important thing to any author is creating work which matters and which means something. Knowing that my work scares people, excites them, repulses them or just makes them think gives me the impetus to keep writing.

I also want to see how far I can take this new approach to publishing and distribution. I want to show the publishing houses that there is an alternative, and I want to give readers a new way of getting their hands on quality writing that hasn't been published purely because of the potential income it will generate for the corporate boards. I want to be the first totally independent author to take a book to number one on the bestseller lists.'
