Moody's Mission
Moody's mission is simple - he writes high quality, original, thought-provoking novels and distributes them to the widest possible audience at the lowest possible price. He works independently - outside the 'traditional' publishing industry - and he likes it that way. That's not to say that he wouldn't take an offer from a mainstream publishing house or film company if it came along. For now, though, Moody is more than happy to go it alone.
Moody keeps overheads low to keep the price of books down. Each title is available in a range of ebook formats and in paperback. Revenue from the sales of these 'Infected Books' are ploughed back into the business. Utilizing the latest advances in technology, the entire Infected Books catalogue is available from all major on-line bookstores and eBook sellers.
'I get an enormous buzz out of writing these stories,' Moody says. 'Knowing that other people get as much out of them gives me an even bigger buzz. The most important thing to any author is creating work which matters and which means something. Knowing that my work scares people, excites them, repulses them or just makes them think gives me the impetus to keep writing.'
'I also want to see how far I can take this new approach to publishing and distribution. I want to show the publishing houses that there is an alternative, and I want to give readers a new way of getting their hands on quality writing that hasn't been published purely because of the potential income it will generate for the corporate boards. I want to be the first totally independent author to take a book to number one on the bestseller lists.'
